Segura Viudas Extra Dry
Blend of 50% Macabeo; 35% Parellada; 15% Xarel.lo
From grape to glass it takes two years to produce a bottle of Extra Dry. The grapes are hand picked, and taken to the winery in 25kg boxes to prevent oxidation. The grapes are whole cluster pressed to retain their unique flavor profiles. The juice is naturally settled over a 24 hour period to produce fruitier and more elegant wines. The blend is made from 8 different base wines. Both the primary and secondary fermentations use our proprietary yeasts. These yeasts give structure, softness on the palate and more complex aromas of honey, dried fruits and flower petals.
The wine is aged 14+ months.
Good intensity with fruity, floral notes and yeasty aromas.
The palate is fruity and elegant, with a touch of sweetness balanced with acidity. A fruity and long finish.
Oysters, spicy salmon, apple pie.
